A Massive 1600 square metre golf tee has been constructed by West Coast Turf at Carramar Golf Course. As well as the turf supply and installation, West Coast Turf undertook all necessary site works including spoil removal, sand delivery, final trim and levelling.

Jumbo Roll Kikuyu Installation and supply for the City of Belmont at Miles Park

West Coast Turf are one of the few farms in W.A. able to Supply and install Jumbo Roll Kikuyu. With our Low Impact “Donkey Installer” We ensure that no wheel ruts are left on the new surface.

After major works were completed on sewage pipes at Miles Park West Coast Turf supplied 20m3 of USGA rated lawn sand from Carramar Resources to create a level free draining surface, then Supplied and installed 1200m2 of Jumbo roll “Zulu Kikuyu”.

In Just two Days, three West Coast Turf staff were able to remove the old struggling soft leaf Buffalo and rubber soft fall, then install 8 cubic metres of lawn sand, a new limestone wall and 100 square metres of Zulu Kikuyu. All these works were done the old fashioned way with just a wheelbarrow and shovel, this was due to limited access through a small gate inside the Perth Train Station Car Park. No matter the job West Coast Turf finds a way to get it done.

offers you a safer more professional and aesthetically pleasing alternative to rubber mats and sanding.

The process starts by laying down high grade Builders Plastic which is tucked between the wicket and the grass. The builders plastic is then covered with lawn sand 30mm thick, which is then levelled a smoothed.

Once a smooth level surface is created the turf is then installed, each roll is harvested specifically to the length of the pitch. This reduces the number of cuts and allows for immediate use of the ground. Once installed the turf is then compacted with a 1.3m wide vibrating roller ensuring a smooth flush finish.

Here West Coast Turf wheel barrowed in 5m3 of lawn sand to improve drainage and root growth. once we have carted the sand around the back it is then raked and screeded. Before a roll of lawn is installed a wetting agent and “turf Stater” fertiliser is applied which is the thoroughly watered in to ensure the new roots have plenty of food and moisture.

Blast From the Past:

12 Months ago West Coast turf was contracted to repair turf Damaged from a festival at Elizabeth quay. Here the client gave us just 5 days to remove 4500m2 of dead lawn, supply spread and level 90m3 of Lawn sand, then supply and install 4500m2 of Jumbo roll Zulu Kikuyu. West Coast Turf was able to get it done in just 4 days.
